Over the years I’ve collected quite a few Tarot and Oracle decks. I want to take some time to have a simple collective of each deck I have and use and rate their artwork/appearance, small-hand shuffleability (this is important to me, I have tiny hands) and the reading consistency, or ease of reading a story from the cards that are pulled and finally my personal connection to each of the decks!
True North Tarot by Sacred Scribe Publishing

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Connection ★★★★☆ (4/5)
The True North Tarot was the first tarot deck I purchased for myself since moving to the United States. It was a birthday gift to myself and I’m extremely grateful I was able to get this deck before they stopped releasing it. The Polaroid-style cards are absolutely beautiful, but admittedly makes it a little difficult to shuffle with my smaller hands.
Synesthesia Tarot by Jana Walker

Artwork ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Shuffleability ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★★ (5/5)
This deck was a gift from an old friend. The concept of the cards I really interesting. Synesthesia is condition where when the individual hears a sound, they see a visualization of colour. The cards artwork definitely portrays that in my opinion! They’re lovely cards to hold and have an almost “velvet” feel to them. The size of the cards are perfect.
The Luminous Spirit by Labyrinthos

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★★★★ (5/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★★ (5/5)
I specifically purchased this deck because I use the Labyrinthos App. I find it really helpful to learn and remember the cards meanings. On the iOS app you can choose between decks, so I purchased this one to go with my learning in the application itself. It’s been really helpful for me to memorize the card meanings with matching app and actual cards.
Clarity Tarot by Bel Senlle

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Connection ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
I was initially drawn to this deck because of the artwork specifically. The simplicity of the matte black cards and white sketchy outline really called to me. My only complaint about the deck is that I find the cards difficult to hold and very hard to shuffle. I think it’s just the size!

This deck was also a gift! I was really excited to receive this deck, as I’m a huge bug lover. The cards are so gorgeous and I find them a bit “slick” and easier to shuffle than a lot of my other tarot decks. It’s my newest, so I haven’t had a ton of time to work with it. I’ll update this!
Borderless Smith-Waite

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★★★★ (5/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★★ (5/5)
There’s something special about this deck to me. It’s the perfect size, shape, smoothness. I guess that’s what you get from the most popular tarot deck! I was eyeing the borderless version for quite a while, I think it’s gorgeous. Being able to read from the artwork is a plus!
Woodland Wardens by Jessica Roux

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★★★★ (5/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★★ (5/5)
This is my favourite oracle deck currently. The artwork is so beautiful and I’m able to shuffle the cards with ease. I’ve seen complaints about the material of the cards feeling cheap and thin, but the cards themselves aren’t pricey so that isn’t a problem for me.
Believe in Your Own Magic by Amanda Lovelace

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★☆ (4/5)
I love this oracle deck. The self-empowerment and validation it provides is so powerful in my opinion. I also really enjoy how every single card is positive and good for self-reflection. However, I find it hard to shuffle these cards, the shape of them makes it difficult.
The Rose Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Reading consistency ★★★★★ (5/5)
Connection ★★★★★ (5/5)
Another gorgeous oracle deck, with a rose theme. Every card talks about growth and the divine feminine. They design of these cards, along with the writing, are so beautiful and perfect. A little big for my small hands, but they’re still up there on my list of favourites.
Spirit Allies Oracle by Jill Pyle

Artwork ★★★★★ (5/5)
Shuffleability ★★★★☆ (4/5)
Reading consistency ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
Connection ★★★☆☆ (3/5)
I was really drawn to these, because of the animals and the overall simplicity of the artwork on the cards. I find the writing for these really realistic and introspective, but I often reach for other oracle cards.
